At GenFutures Lab, we help businesses turn AI ambition into real-world results. Founded by Melanie Moeller, an AI Transformation Leader with over a decade of experience at Sky, BBC and HP, we specialise in intelligent automation, AI agents, and future-ready workforce enablement.
Melanie is known for pioneering human-centred AI systems, from launching Sky’s AI Innovation Lab to leading digital platforms used by over 35 million BBC users. Her work has powered emotion detection prototypes, broadband diagnostics, AI content generation tools and international product launches, all delivering measurable business value.

Meet Mel Moeller
CEO of GenFutures Lab!
With 13+ years of experience in technology, digital products, strategic foresight, and R&D, Mel has a proven track record of delivering innovative, multi-million user digital propositions and solutions for the UK’s leading media organisations as well as startups.
Mel has worked on notable projects including the BBC’s EU Referendum results service across all editions of the BBC News website, BBC iPlayer, Sky’s NOW TV international OTT streaming service, and early-stage Sky Glass prototypes. From 2019-2023, she spearheaded the establishment of a Technology Innovation function for Sky’s Innovation Lab and founded the Sky Metaverse Network in 2022.
Passionate about driving innovation through new technologies, Mel specialises in tech-enabled business models, AI-driven experimentation, rapid co-creation with startups and open talent as well as future foresight and advisory.
